Experience the Many Dietary Benefits of Juicing

It is our ideal state to be fit, healthy and full of energy, but how often do we feel like that? We usually feel a bit run down, maybe have the beginnings of a cold, or feel tired due to stress or a less-than-perfect diet. But thanks to the benefits of juicing we can quickly put all that behind us.

It is recommended that we eat five portions of fruit and vegetables a day to ensure good health, but with the fast pace of life it is easier and more appealing to grab a coke and a bag of crisps or a cup of coffee and a doughnut than a banana and an orange for instance. If our body were a car, wouldnt we put the best fuel into it and make sure it was topped up with plenty of oil and water? Then why not take the same care of our bodies instead of filling them up with whichever fuel is quickly available regardless of whether it is good for us or not?

Perhaps it is because crisps and doughnuts are instantly filling for a while, even though they contain little of nutritional value, whereas an apple isnt. But if we were to drink the juice that comes from pulping a bag of apples into juice, a super dose of energy boosting nutrients would be quickly and easily absorbed by our body bringing a feeling of fullness and satisfaction.

The main benefits of juicing, of course, are the fast assimilation of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals present in fresh fruit and vegetables. Enzymes are also present and they convert food into body tissue. Enzymes produce energy without which our bodies could not function. Juicing removes indigestible fibre from fruit and vegetables. For example, if you ate a raw carrot, only 1 per cent of the beta-carotine could be assimilated, but by juicing the carrot, the fibre is removed and almost one hundred percent of the available beta-carotene can be taken into the body.

Another vital substance that fruit and vegetable juices contain is water. Every cell in the body is made up of 65 to 80 percent water and yet most people dont consume enough. All other beverages such as, tea, coffee and soft drinks that are artificially flavoured contain substances that the body needs extra water to eliminate, thereby causing dehydration. Vegetable juices are free of these.

The benefits of juicing are so many that I have hardly scratched the surface. Younger-looking skin, strong hair and nails, natural weight-loss and maintenance, recovery from illness and prevention of illness are just some of the things that a couple of glasses of specifically chosen fruit or vegetable juices a day can quickly achieve.

Once you try it youll be hooked, and healthy for life.

Wonderful advice. Luckily--now that I'm grown--I love fruits and veggies. Now, my grandchildren--that's a different story. But it is nice to know that we are now able to buy vitamins that contain fruits and vegetables nutrients for children.
